The Seventh Presidential Election in POWER took place on August 1, 2017, during POWER III. The presidency was held by John Heydrich, chairman of the Republican Party, who was widely seen to be entrenched in the position. The Democratic Party, who nominated Sandra Murphy-Colbert, had yet to recover from their loss in the 6th presidential election and the events which led to it. The result was that minimal effort was put into the Murphy-Colbert campaign, and the Republicans won in a landslide victory.
